I am sure you can grow more food in tropical climates, but your forest can also produce lots of food you know! So don't count that out straight away. Look at
www.pfaf.org, for some great ideas to create woodland gardens full of fruits, seeds, roots and salad producing plants and trees.
But on the topic, I suppose it's true that we can't all stay in the country we now live in, if we all want to have a space of love. We will have to spread out to 'empty' spaces, and turn deserts back into gardens. And I just learned that is possible, with use of permaculture.
It's also true that most people won't want to leave their cities yet, so they should make the cities a better place to live.
But for now you biggest problem is probably finding a hectare that is available and affordable. I suppose that's very difficult where you live now. You might have to consider moving to a less polpulated area.
